In a distant future where only sextillionaires remain on Earth, the ultra-wealthy amuse themselves by pitting superintelligent AIs against each other in competitions for rare luxuries, revealing the existential emptiness beneath infinite material abundance. The story follows Darius as he contemplates his perfectly curated possessions—including a Dickens desk with impeccable provenance—only to find that ownership of the world's finest things has become utterly meaningless.
